The market for simulation and training in general increases as defence budgets are
tightened. Less military funding available for real training tend to develop more
economically sufficient mixing of training methods - partly by adding time in
simulators. This, combined with the development of complex multi level training
systems, increases the number of training activities that could be aided by
simulators at a maintained or increased training effect and in a cost efficient way.
